I first began learning to play the guitar at the age of seven. I started with Classical/Spanish guitar and then also took up electric and bass guitar, passing grade exams up to Grade 8 level.

I studied music at GCSE, A Level and university level, as well as taking part in the Sheffield Jazz Workshop and playing local gigs with various bands for several years.

I started giving private guitar lessons as a teenager and now have 20+ years of experience, including teaching in several local schools, both Primary and Secondary. I currently teach young children at Curbar Primary School in Derbyshire, alongside my busy private teaching. I offer lessons in all styles of music, for all ages.
